“WHOEVER EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD ABIDES IN ME, AND I IN HIM.” – JOHN 6:56
A man receives a kidney transplant from a stranger. The organ is not his, but it becomes part of him. He takes daily medication to prevent rejection. Years later, he writes to the donor’s family: “I carry a piece of your loved one with me. I live because they gave what I could not make for myself.”
Jesus does not soften His words when questioned—He deepens them. “Whoever eats my flesh…abides in me” (John 6:56). This is not distant belief, but real participation in His life. Like the man who lives through a transplanted organ he did not create, we receive a life that is not our own. In Acts, Saul is struck down and transformed, moving from resistance to surrender. Led by the hand, healed, and strengthened, he begins a new life rooted in Christ. This is what grace does—it enters, heals, and remains. The Psalm calls all nations to praise God’s enduring mercy, a mercy that gives life where there was none. Faith is not self-made; it is received and sustained. Today, do not hold back from Christ. Come to Him as you are. Receive Him fully—and allow His life to take root within you.
