A young graduate is sent to represent her company at an international conference. She feels unprepared and intimidated among seasoned professionals, yet remembers she was chosen for a reason. As she speaks, her confidence grows, and she realises she carries the trust and backing of those who sent her.
Jesus sends His disciples into the world with a mission far greater than their own strength (Mark 16:15). Like the young graduate stepping into an unfamiliar space, they are not sent because they are fully prepared, but because they are chosen. The Gospel reminds us that the Lord works with them, confirming their witness. In Peter’s letter, we are urged to walk in humility, casting our cares upon God, who truly cares for us. This is the foundation of mission—not self-reliance, but trust. Even in difficulty, God promises to strengthen and establish those who remain in Him. Today, do not hold back what you have received. Step forward with courage. Christ goes with you—and He will work through you.
