Seeing the Father Through Christ

Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” – John 14:9

A young employee keeps asking her manager for clearer direction, unsure she understands the company’s vision. One day, the manager says, “You’ve worked with me long enough—watch how I decide, how I act.” She gradually realises the answers weren’t hidden; they had been present in the relationship all along.

Philip asks Jesus for something more: “Show us the Father” (John 14:8). Yet Jesus gently reveals that nothing more is needed—God has already been made visible in Him. Like the employee searching for clarity that was already before her, we often look for new signs while overlooking what has been revealed. To know Christ is to know the Father. In Acts, Paul and Barnabas continue their mission despite rejection, turning toward those ready to receive. God’s light is not diminished by refusal; it reaches further. Faith is not about waiting for more proof, but recognising what has already been given. Today, look again at Christ—His words, His actions, His presence. In Him, God is not distant. He is already revealed, already near, already inviting you to trust.
