“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father” – John 14:23
A grandfather builds a dollhouse for his granddaughter. Not a kit—he cuts every piece by hand, paints each room, stitches tiny curtains. When he gives it to her, she hugs him, not the house. In that moment, he understands: the gift was never just the house, but the love that shaped every detail over time.
Judas (not the betrayer) asks a sincere question: “Lord, why will you show yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answers that love is the condition of revelation. The one who loves Him keeps His word, and to that one, the Father and Son will come and make their home. Not a visit—a home. In Acts, Paul heals a crippled man, but the crowds mistake him for a god. He tears his clothes and insists: “We are men like you,” pointing them instead to the living God who gives life and joy. Like the grandfather whose gift carried his presence, Jesus does not offer us information about God, but God Himself. Obedience is not earning love; it is living from it. Today, keep His word, even imperfectly. He is not distant—He is making His home in you.
