“IT IS BETTER THAT ONE MAN SHOULD DIE FOR THE PEOPLE.” – JOHN 11:50
A company hires a new manager who begins to correct long-standing corruption. Slowly, things improve—fairness returns, accountability grows. But those who benefited from the old system feel threatened. In a private meeting, they agree it is easier to remove one honest man than to change everything. By the end of the week, he is gone.
After Lazarus is raised, many believe in Jesus, but others report Him (John 11:45–46). The leaders do not deny the miracle; they fear its impact. Truth threatens their control. Caiaphas speaks words he does not fully understand—one man will die for the people. What was meant as self-preservation becomes prophecy. Ezekiel speaks of God gathering His people into one, restoring and cleansing them. Yet this unity will come through sacrifice. Like the manager who exposed what was hidden, Jesus reveals hearts—and not all welcome the light. Today, when truth unsettles your comfort, pause. Do not resist what God is revealing. Sometimes what feels like loss is the beginning of restoration.
