You’ll spend three hours laughing at memes, watching reels, and chasing the next trend, yet the One who gave you breath barely gets three minutes of your day. You refresh every app without thinking, but when last did you refresh your soul?
We stay connected to the whole world and still feel completely empty, because the deepest connection of all has been left on “Do Not Disturb.”
God isn’t asking for your perfection. He’s asking for your attention. He misses the sound of your voice in prayer more than your followers miss your stories. You can have a thousand people in your DMs and still be unknown by the One who formed you. You can be online 24/7 and offline with Heaven at the same time.
Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed (Luke 5:16). While the crowds chased miracles and moments, He chased silence with His Father. In a generation that fears missing out on the next post, He never feared missing out on time with God.
Your soul wasn’t designed to run on notifications. It was designed to run on His presence. The same thumb that scrolls for hours can open the Bible in seconds. The same eyes that binge videos can fix themselves on the One who never sleeps nor slumbers.
Tonight, before you reach for your phone one more time, reach for Him instead. Close the apps. Open your heart. Talk to the God who’s been waiting for you all day.
Because you can be connected to everyone and still feel alone, but you can never be close to God and feel empty.
Closing Thought: The world can have your minutes. Let Jesus have your heart.
