That video you watch in secret may offer a moment’s thrill, but it quietly robs you of something far deeper — your peace. What feels like escape is often a transaction you didn’t realise you were making: a brief rush in exchange for clarity, confidence, and spiritual sensitivity.
Porn never truly satisfies. It numbs. It drains what God marked as sacred inside you. Each click trains the heart to crave more while enjoying less. What began as curiosity becomes routine; what felt optional becomes controlling. And slowly, without announcing itself, shame takes residence where joy once lived.
God did not design you to be ruled by pleasure. You were not created to negotiate with temptation or hide in the shadows of secrecy. You were created for freedom — the kind that doesn’t collapse when the screen goes dark. Purity was never about restriction; it was about protection. Heaven was guarding your peace long before temptation tried to counterfeit it.
The most dangerous lie porn tells is not that it feels good, but that you are too far gone to be restored. Yet Jesus still sees you — not with anger, disgust, or folded arms, but with mercy. His gaze does not condemn; it calls. He steps into the darkness you’ve grown used to and gently invites you back into His light.
What you feed will grow. If you keep feeding what is killing your spirit, don’t be surprised when prayer feels heavy and joy feels distant. But there is another choice. Instead of opening that tab, open your mouth. Speak to Him. Instead of scrolling deeper into secrecy, step upward into honesty. Grace begins the moment truth is spoken.
He is waiting — not to punish you, but to free you.
💭 Closing Thought
Freedom doesn’t start with resisting temptation alone; it starts with turning your attention back to Christ.
