“AS YOU DID IT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE, YOU DID IT TO ME.” – MATTHEW 25:40
A company director visits different branches without announcing himself. In some places, staff treat every customer with patience and respect. In others, people are ignored if they seem unimportant. The difference was simple: some acted with care even when they thought no one important was watching.
Jesus speaks of a final judgement that turns on simple acts of mercy (Matthew 25:31–46). Like the director moving quietly among staff, Christ is present in the ordinary faces we meet. We may not recognise Him, yet our response reveals our hearts. Leviticus calls God’s people to holiness through honesty, justice and love of neighbour (Leviticus 19:2,18). Holiness is not distant or dramatic; it is lived in daily choices. Psalm 19 reminds us that the Lord’s words bring light and life. Lent brings this truth close: what we do for others, we do for Christ. Today, notice the person in front of you. Offer kindness without calculation. Love without waiting for recognition. In serving the least, you meet the Lord Himself.

Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see You in the ordinary people I meet today. Teach me to serve without seeking praise and to love without calculation. Form my heart to reflect Your mercy. Amen.
