“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” – Matthew 5:8
A master artisan was commissioned to create a stunning stained-glass window. From the outside, the glass looked dark and smoky. But when the sun rose, those inside the building saw a brilliant tapestry of colour and light. What once seemed dull became radiant, as sunlight transformed the simple pieces into something extraordinary.
Purity of heart is like that stained glass—it allows divine light to pass through. Just as Jesus blesses the pure in heart, promising that they shall see God (Matthew 5:8), He calls us to a kind of transparency where nothing within us blocks the radiance of His love. The saints are like that glass: purified by grace, they have become vessels through which divine light shines with breathtaking beauty for all to see. Their lives remind us that holiness is not perfection but openness—letting Christ’s light enter and transform. The more our hearts are cleansed of pride, bitterness, and deceit, the more clearly heaven gleams through us. Let Christ polish your heart until His light shines freely—clear, radiant, and full of grace, so that others may glimpse eternity through the glow of your transformed life.
