A young boy gets lost in a crowded market. He searches frantically, pushing through people, calling for his mother. Then he hears his name—not shouted, just spoken. He turns. She is right there, arms open. He runs to her, tears turning into relief.
Mary stands at the tomb, weeping, certain she has lost everything. She sees Jesus, but grief blinds her—she thinks he is the gardener. Then he speaks one word: “Mary.” In that moment, everything changes. Like the boy who hears his name in the crowd, she recognises the voice of love. Resurrection is not first understood—it is encountered. It is deeply personal. Peter’s preaching cuts hearts, calling many to repentance and new life, but it begins with recognition—God knows you. Today, Jesus is not distant or abstract. He calls you by name, in your confusion, in your sorrow. Listen carefully. Turn toward him. What feels lost is not gone. Love is closer than you think. Go and tell.
