“I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.” – JOHN 8:12
A woman struggled for years with blurred vision. She assumed it was normal and learned to live with it. One day, a friend persuaded her to visit an eye specialist. After receiving proper glasses, she stepped outside and was amazed. Colours looked brighter, details sharper. The world had not changed—her ability to see had.
In John 9:1–41, Jesus restores sight to a man born blind, revealing not only physical healing but spiritual truth. Like the woman who finally received clear vision, the man saw the world differently after encountering Christ. At first, he only knew that Jesus healed him, but gradually his understanding deepened until he recognised Him and believed (John 9:25, 38). Meanwhile, those who believed they already understood everything refused to see the truth before them. Ephesians 5:8 reminds us that we were once in darkness but are now called to walk as children of light. Christ opens our eyes to what is real and good. Today, allow His light to guide your heart. When we trust Him, we begin to see life with clarity, hope, and faith.
