Choosing Christ Without Hesitation

“WHOEVER IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME.” – LUKE 11:23

A manager noticed that one employee constantly avoided taking sides during important decisions. When problems arose, he stayed silent, hoping to please everyone. Over time, the team realised his neutrality created confusion and slowed progress. Eventually, the manager explained that refusing to choose was itself a choice.

This quiet hesitation reflects the warning Jesus gives in Luke 11:14–23. After witnessing His power, some people still refused to recognise the truth and instead questioned His authority. Like the employee who avoided commitment, they stood in the middle, unwilling to respond with faith. Jesus makes the matter clear: “Whoever is not with me is against me.” Jeremiah also speaks of people who heard God’s voice but continued to follow their own stubborn hearts (Jer 7:23–24). Faith is not passive agreement but a willing response to God’s call. Psalm 95 urges us not to harden our hearts when we hear His voice. Today, do not remain undecided in your walk with Christ. Choose to follow Him with a sincere heart, trusting that His way leads to life and peace.
