“Blessed are the eyes that see the things which you see” – Luke 10:23
A father takes his daughter to the mountains for the first time. She gazes at snow-capped peaks and endless skies, unable to take it all in. For him, those mountains had become ordinary after years of routine travel. But seeing them through her wonder reopens his eyes—reminding him of the beauty he forgot to notice.
Jesus tells His disciples they are blessed to witness what prophets and kings longed to see. That same blessing extends to us today, yet it is often overlooked. Surrounded by distractions and daily worries, we frequently miss the grace and truth already present around us—God’s Word alive in Scripture, His nearness in prayer, and above all, the gift of Christ Himself. The Gospel is not a distant hope tucked away in history; it is a living reality breaking into our lives now. Through Christ, our eyes are opened to recognise God’s love revealed in human history and woven subtly into our own stories. The call is to stay awake, attentive, and grateful, knowing the greatest revelation has already been given. Open your eyes—what you long for may already be before you in Christ.
