Ask, and it will be given to you” – Luke 11:9
In a toy shop, a boy points to the most expensive toy.
His older brother whispers, “Dad only gave $100. He can’t afford that.”
But their father chuckles, kneels down, and replies, “Anything for you,” paying the full price. For the boy, it wasn’t just about the toy—it was proof of his father’s love.
Like that boy who trusted his father’s heart, Jesus invites us to ask boldly in prayer: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened” (Luke 11:9). Our heavenly Father’s generosity far surpasses human limits. He does not weigh our requests against scarcity but responds out of love and abundance, giving what is truly good—including His Spirit. Even when His answers seem delayed, His silence often carries the shape of a greater blessing being formed for us. Prayer is not about calculating what God might afford but trusting that He delights in hearing His children and answering for their good. So, keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking—because the Father’s love is never too small for your needs.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being a generous and loving Father. Help me to ask with trust, to seek with faith, and to knock with perseverance. When answers seem delayed, remind me that Your timing is never late and Your love never runs out. Amen.
