“You will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending…” – John 1:51
A child lies awake in bed, afraid of the dark. Her mother sits beside her and says, “Even when you can’t see me, I’m here.” She doesn’t explain electricity or the silence of the night. She just holds her hand. The child relaxes—not because she understands, but because presence has returned.
When Jesus tells Nathanael he will see heaven opened and angels ascending and descending upon the Son of Man, He reveals Himself as the meeting point of heaven and earth. Angels, God’s messengers and protectors, remind us that we are never left alone. Their presence points us to the greater truth—Christ Himself is with us, bridging the gap and guarding our steps. The unseen world is not a fantasy—it’s part of our reality in Christ. In every struggle, angels whisper God’s strength, reminding us that heaven fights on our side. Like the child in the dark, we may not grasp all mysteries, yet faith assures us of a nearness that banishes fear. Even unseen, heaven’s help surrounds us, and in Christ, we walk under God’s watchful care today.
