“IF I AM DOING THE WORKS OF MY FATHER, THEN BELIEVE.” – JOHN 10:37
A student consistently submitted excellent work, yet one teacher remained unconvinced. No matter how strong the results were, the teacher questioned every effort. Others could clearly see the quality, but the teacher had already decided what to believe. The evidence was there, yet it was not accepted.
Jeremiah faced that same kind of rejection, surrounded by people who spoke against him despite his faithfulness (Jeremiah 20:10). In John 10:31–42, Jesus points to His works as clear evidence of who He is, yet many still refuse to believe. Like the teacher who ignored what was plainly visible, their hearts were already closed. Truth is not always rejected because it is unclear, but because it challenges what people have chosen to hold on to. Still, God remains present. Psalm 18 reminds us that He hears and supports those who trust in Him. Today, when your intentions or actions are misunderstood, do not lose heart. Stay faithful. What is true does not need constant defence—God Himself will uphold it.
