“I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE.” – JOHN 11:25
A young father lay in a coma after an accident. His wife sat beside him for days, speaking softly, holding his hand, refusing to leave. Doctors gently prepared her for the worst. On the fourth day, through tears, she whispered, “Please wake up.” Moments later, his fingers moved. What felt lost was not gone.
In John 11:1–45, Jesus delays when Lazarus is sick, and by the time He arrives, hope seems buried. Like the wife who felt time had run out, Mary and Martha struggle with the pain of waiting. “Lord, if you had been here…” reveals their deep sorrow. Yet Jesus is not absent—He is working beyond what they can see. He weeps with them, then calls Lazarus out of the grave. What seemed final becomes a place of glory. Ezekiel speaks of God opening graves and giving life (Ezekiel 37:12–14), and Romans 8:11 reminds us that His Spirit still brings life today. When God feels late, trust Him. He is not delayed—He is preparing something greater than you expect.
