“WHOEVER HEARS MY WORD AND BELIEVES HAS ETERNAL LIFE.” – JOHN 5:24
A woman received a call from an unknown number, but ignored it several times. Later, she discovered it was from a company offering her a position she had long hoped for. When she finally answered, everything changed. The opportunity had been there all along, but it required her to respond.
Jesus speaks of a voice that brings life in John 5:17–30. He reveals that those who hear His word and believe have already passed from death to life. Like the woman who almost missed an important call, people can overlook what God is doing because they fail to respond. Yet God’s voice is not distant or unclear. Isaiah reminds us that the Lord never forgets His people, even when they feel abandoned (Isaiah 49:15). His call is steady, inviting, and life-giving. Psalm 145 affirms that He is near to all who call on Him in truth. Today, listen carefully for Christ’s voice in your life. Do not ignore what He is saying. When we respond with faith, His word leads us into new life, hope, and purpose.
