“GO; YOUR SON WILL LIVE.” – JOHN 4:50
A woman submitted an important application online and immediately received a confirmation email saying it had been accepted. Yet the final outcome would only come days later. She could do nothing more but trust the message she had received. Though she could not yet see the result, she chose to believe the process had begun.
The royal official in John 4:43–54 faced a similar moment of trust. His son was seriously ill, and he pleaded with Jesus to come and heal him. Instead, Jesus simply spoke: “Go; your son will live.” Like the woman trusting the confirmation message, the man had to rely on the word he received before seeing any visible result. Scripture tells us he believed Jesus and began the journey home. Only later did he discover that his son was healed at the very moment Jesus spoke. Faith often begins in that quiet space between promise and proof. Isaiah reminds us that God is always working to bring renewal and hope (Isaiah 65:17–19). Today, trust Christ’s word even when the outcome is not yet visible. His promises remain faithful.
