According to Your Faith:

“According to your faith let it be done to you.” – Matthew 9:29

A photographer received a new camera but struggled with every shot—each image looked dull and unfocused. After trusting a friend’s instructions and adjusting the settings correctly, the same scenes appeared sharp and vibrant. Only then did he realise the world hadn’t changed at all; it was his ability to see it clearly that finally shifted.

The healing of the blind men hinges on a pivotal question: “Do you believe that I can do this?” (Matthew 9:28). Their confident “Yes, Lord” wasn’t just an answer; it was the act of faith that opened the way for Christ’s power. Like the photographer adjusting his equipment to perceive reality correctly, these men adjusted their perspective from desperation to confident trust. Jesus declares that their healing happens “according to your faith.” This principle remains true for us. Our faith is not a feeling but a deliberate choice to trust in Christ’s power and character, especially when circumstances appear “dull and unfocused.” What situation needs Christ’s touch today? Approach Him with the same confident declaration: “Yes, Lord, I believe you can.” Trust that He will act according to the faith you place in Him

A Journey of Reflection and Action

  • Spend time journaling where your faith feels “dull or unfocused,” naming areas that need Christ’s touch.
  • Meditate on Matthew 9:28–29, slowly repeating the phrase: “Yes, Lord, I believe you can.”
  • Share with a trusted friend or prayer partner an area where you are asking Jesus to strengthen your faith.
  • In group discussion or fellowship, explore what it means to trust Christ beyond feelings and circumstances.
  • End your day by noting one moment where you intentionally chose trust instead of fear.
