“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
– Matthew 19:16 –
A young boy struggles to open a tightly sealed jar of honey. He twists, pulls, his teeth and even uses hot water—but nothing works. Frustrated, he walks away. Later, his grandmother taps the lid with a spoon and opens it with ease. He watches in amazement. Smiling, she says, “Sometimes you just need help stronger than you.”
Jesus’ words stunned His disciples: “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle…” They asked, “Who then can be saved?”—a real, raw question. And Jesus answers with divine assurance: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Just like the boy with the sealed jar, we all face things we simply can’t unlock on our own—habits, healing, forgiveness, salvation itself. But Christ never leaves us to struggle alone. He doesn’t lower the standard; He lifts us by grace. He calls us beyond what we can do, so we can lean on what He alone can do. That problem you can’t solve? That habit you can’t break? That calling you feel unqualified for? Take your hands off the jar. Watch what God can do. Don’t be discouraged by your limits. What’s impossible for you is possible with God—every single time.
