“They chose out the good into vessels”
– Matthew 13:48 –

A woman runs a local recycling center. Each day, she and her team sort through heaps of waste—paper, plastic, metal—deciding what to keep and what to discard.
One day, a new trainee asks why they go through so much trouble. She replies, “Because in all this mess, there’s still something worth saving.”

**Jesus’ parable of the net (Matt 13:47–50) reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven gathers all—yet only what aligns with God’s truth is kept. “They chose out the good into vessels” (Matthew 13:48) isn’t just about the end times; it’s a call to examine our lives today. Like a careful recycler who sees beauty in what others discard, God sees value in us—even when we feel broken. As Ezekiel 36:26 says, He gives us a new heart and renews what’s been damaged. But we must be willing to let go of what no longer belongs—sin, fear, bitterness. Let God help you sort through the mess—He sees what’s still good in you. Release what’s holding you back, and allow Him to restore what’s worth saving.

A Journey of Reflection and Action

Spend time journaling about areas in your life that feel like “waste” or brokenness—places where you’ve felt discarded or overlooked. Read and meditate on Matthew 13:47–50 and Ezekiel 36:26, inviting the Holy Spirit to show you what God sees as worth saving. Share today’s message with a friend who may be feeling discouraged or distant from God. Consider forming a small group conversation around this reflection, asking: “What is God trying to restore in me?” or “What do I need to release so God can renew me?” Let this message inspire a week of letting go and leaning into grace.
