“I am the resurrection and the life”
– John 11:25 –

A farmer stared at the dry, cracked ground where his crops had failed after a long drought. Everyone said the land was dead—nothing more would grow. But one morning, after the first rains, green shoots pierced through the soil.
His daughter ran to him shouting, “Daddy, it’s alive again!”
That moment reminded him: even when things seem finished, life can return in ways we don’t expect.

Jesus’ words—“I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25)—aren’t just for the graveyard moments; they’re for every place in our lives where it feels like hope has expired. When Martha and Mary mourned Lazarus, Jesus didn’t rush. He came to reveal that delay isn’t denial, and even what seems dead can live again. Like rain reviving dry ground, Christ breathes new life into dry seasons, silent prayers, and broken places. He doesn’t just speak life; He is life. In Him, endings are never the end.
So don’t bury your faith too soon. Where others see final chapters, Jesus writes fresh beginnings. Let Him revive what you thought was gone—resurrection is His specialty.

A Journey of Reflection and Action

Take time this week to reflect on areas of your life that feel “dry” or “dead.” Journal about situations where you’ve been tempted to give up. Then, read John 11 slowly, paying attention to Jesus’ timing, compassion, and power. Meditate on the promise that He is not only able to bring life back but is Life itself. Share this message with a friend or family member who needs hope. You might also bring this to a prayer group or Bible study for deeper discussion. Trust that what feels forgotten may just be awaiting resurrection.
