The Shepherd Who Doesn’t Rest

“Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.” — Luke 15:6

A mother loses sight of her child in a crowded park. Panic grips her as she retraces her steps, calling out. Then—relief.
She spots him by a water fountain, safe. With tears in her eyes, she scoops him up. A nearby woman smiles and says,
“Now that’s joy.” Later, the mother tells her husband,
“Nothing else mattered until I found him.”

Like the shepherd in Luke 15:6 who says, “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost,”
God celebrates every time a heart finds its way back to Him.
In a world that rewards perfection, Jesus offers something greater: a heart that searches, waits, and welcomes.

The heart of Jesus isn’t a symbol of religion—it’s a symbol of relentless, emotional love. Like the mother in the park, He doesn’t rest until we’re safe in His arms.
No matter how far we’ve wandered, His love remains personal, patient, and powerful.
Let that love carry you back to peace today.

A Journey of Reflection and Action

Take time today to journal about a moment you felt lost and how you longed to be found. Reflect on Luke 15:6 and write what “being found by God” means in your current season. Meditate on Jesus’ relentless love and thank Him for never giving up on you. Share this message with a friend or discuss it with a small group—how has God pursued you personally? Consider pausing at a quiet spot—like the mother in the park—and pray with honesty, letting yourself be embraced by His peace again.

Dear Jesus,
You never give up on me. Even when I wander, You seek me out with compassion and joy. Thank You for Your relentless love, for calling me back, and for rejoicing over my return. Help me rest in Your arms and celebrate others who find their way home to You. May I carry Your love to the lost and hurting around me. Amen.
